The School of Pioneer Leadership Development are for mature leaders who are aware of their calling and are desiring to bring their God inspired vision into reality. If you have a specific vision to pursue then this year is particularly helpful in developing skills and strategy to work towards a pioneering phase in the near future. It is our commitment as YWAM Davos to help develop you as a fully equipped leader who can than be launched into full-time ministry according to your passion.

Through working along YWAM Davos, a pioneering base, you will learn the steps and tools require to pioneer your own YWAM base, school or ministry. Through hands-on training and placement you will gain a wide range of practical skills for use in ministry. You will be trained in strategic development and implementation of vision. The school will provide you with experience and allow you to gain a realistic view of pioneering a new ministries. You will learn creatively and out of the box in many situations as together we begin to lay foundations for your future ministry.

Introductory Leadership School

While this course will vary in emphasis depending on the location where it is offered, it always has the goal of equipping young leaders to pioneer new YWAM bases, schools or ministries. Students will receive tools to help them in becoming effective learners and leaders -- learning the culture, and in some cases the language, of the people where they will pioneer. Other topics include: team building, principles of pioneering, servanthood, foundational leadership practices, mentoring, coaching, and the role of intercession in pioneering. Students may have opportunity to work alongside ministries that are in a pioneering phase of development.

Prerequisites: DSP 211 & 212 (DTS) and personal recommendation from a YWAM leader

Introductory Leadership School Field Assignment

Whether working alongside a new ministry or starting one together with a team, during this field assignment students will participate in practical activities ranging from teaching, proclamation of the Word, working with youth in urban settings. A key goal of the field assignment is to give leaders-in-training opportunity to grow through practicing and applying what was learned in the lecture phase, with experienced mentors/leaders coming alongside.
